September brought several improvements to the Acclaim platform, including a redesigned payment collection experience and expanded international payout capabilities.
A simpler way to collect premiums and other payments
We've built Payment Links to make it easier for insurance teams to request, collect, and track payments. The biggest change is how payment requests and links work together. Teams can now create a payment request directly in Acclaim and generate a secure link from that existing request, rather than creating a separate record each time a link is generated.
The payment request serves as the source of truth, keeping the amount, description, and reference connected throughout the process. That means less manual work tracking down payment details and a clearer record of what each payment is for.

Links can be shared by email, SMS, or WhatsApp, and teams can create and manage requests directly in the platform without needing to build an API integration.

Save payment methods for future use
We've also introduced setup requests, allowing teams to securely save a customer's payment method for future transactions. For organizations collecting renewal premiums, installments, or other recurring payments, this provides a way to keep payment details on file rather than asking customers to enter them again each time. Teams can also cancel open payment requests and remove or deactivate saved payment methods directly in Acclaim.

A checkout experience that looks and feels like your brand
The hosted checkout experience has been redesigned with a simpler two-step flow, clearer payment details, and improved status messaging. We've also added new branding controls, allowing organizations to customize their logo, display name, and brand colors across payment pages, payout links, and customer-facing emails.
When a policyholder receives a payment request, the experience should feel familiar and trustworthy. These updates help make that possible while giving internal teams a more consistent way to manage collections.

A simpler way to resolve payment issues
With Payment Cases, teams can now report and track payment issues directly in Acclaim, keeping the investigation connected to the original transaction. From the payout details page, users can report a missing payment, request a recall or amendment, and provide supporting information or documents. Each case has its own page where teams can follow the status, communicate with Acclaim, and review the activity history as the issue is investigated.
Rather than managing the payment in one system and the investigation somewhere else, teams can handle both within Acclaim, with the relevant information in one place.

Making global claims and provider payments easier
This month, we've introduced several improvements to make international payouts more flexible and easier to manage.
Expanded payout support for Ghana and the Philippines
Acclaim now supports payouts to Ghana in Ghanaian cedi (GHS) via international wire. We've also added the ability to hold Philippine pesos (PHP) as a wallet currency, allowing PHP payouts and reversals to settle in pesos rather than defaulting to the funding currency.
These additions give insurers, TPAs, and assistance companies more flexibility when managing payments to claimants and providers internationally.
Payout links in the recipient's preferred language
Payout links now display in the language set on the recipient's profile. For organizations serving customers and providers across multiple countries, this makes it easier for recipients to understand and complete the steps needed to receive their payments.
Reducing errors in bank details
In 15 countries, users can now select bank codes from a list rather than entering them manually. Incorrect banking details can lead to failed payments, investigations, and reissues, creating additional work for operations teams and delays for recipients. Making bank codes easier to enter correctly helps reduce the risk of those avoidable errors.

A better way to manage insurance payments
The work doesn't end when the money moves. Collecting a premium, paying a claim, and managing the funds behind those transactions all need a clear record. Teams also need to know what a payment is for, where it stands, and how to manage it when something changes.
That's what we're continuing to focus on at Acclaim: bringing the different parts of insurance payments together in one platform, with the information and controls teams need to manage them.
